St Augustine of Canterbury School

This school most definitely does not genuinely care for its families or its parishioners!  The purposely discriminate against children who having learning disabilities.  The administration in particular.  When my children attended this school, they did not even follow thier own "rule book" nor did they follow the Diocesan Rules for Catholic Schools.  Be very careful with your decision to send you children to this school, as they now state in their handbook that they have the right to decide who gets punished for what.  So basically they reserve the right to punish one child for an act, but not another child who does the same thing.  They also state in their handbook that they have the right to punish (ie. suspend, expel) for social networking that has nothing to do with the school, thus monitoring your child's freedom of speech and expression!

Queenie Reda: St. Augustine is truly a gem in our education system.  While we are lucky enough to live in a Blue Ribbon school district for our public schools, my husband and I still chose to put our daughter into this Catholic school.  The sense of community is amazing, and academic wise, we cannot be happier with our choice.  It is such a tight knit school, every staff member cares for our children and knows them personally, our children are not mere names, they know the families, the happenings, and genuinely care.     From the principal to the volunteers, the main goal for all our children to thrive in our society, is clear and most definitely proven true.  We love St. Augustine, and although our daughter is only in her second year at St. A., (she went to their preschool last year, and is now in kindergarten) we look forward to her future eight years here.
