Barringer High School Reviews

Barringer student 2009-2013

I am a Barringer High School alumni. I went to the school my full four years of high school. I have to admit that about 70 % of the teachers that taught me did terrible jobs. I have had permanent substitutes for lots of my classes and a lot of times I felt as though I was going to school for no reason.  I honestly hated the school but I managed to complete all four years and get good enough SAT scores to make it in to Montclair State University. Unfortunately, many of my close friends were not able to the same. I can honestly say that only me and one of my close friends graduated out of a group of about 30 of us. The school taught  me a lot of life lessons. The faculty were very family like and the principal at the time when I was there seemed to be very self centered, but that is my opinion. what i know is that if I did not go to Barringer I probably wont be in college today because any other school would of probably kicked me out. Im not trying to say the school was a terrible one because I did have some great teachers but the school was not the best school in the world. I hear that the school has changed in the past year from some of my younger siblings that still attend but hopefully this school does change and really starts teaching the students the correct way.

As a former student, in 1983, I must say that Barringer was the best High School I ever attended.  Due to my family financial circumstances I couldn't make it to the graduation, but after 26 June 1983, when I went personally to the office to pick up my Graduation Diploma, I cried after telling the staff there about my situation concerning my graduation attendance and it was a good feeling because with that Diploma I am now retired from the Navy and I hope the school creates an idea and follows up on those students in need, similar to mines!  GOD bless you all.

From being a student at barringer high school I say, besides all the roumor's, I think this school is the best and I think it could be better if the kids at this school get along better and follow the teachers intructions, and someday if this happens i think those bad roumors about this school will be reborn into good roumors.
