Jessica: This school changed my life. If not for the caring environment of this amazing school, I'd never have graduated from high school, let alone college. I will soon have a Master's Degree in secondary education, and I hope to give back some of what I was given while I was a student at Holmstead.

nicole (Hill) Timms: The Holmstead School is one of the best things that ever happened to me! In my regular high school I was failing all of my classes and had stopped attending school on a regular basis. I was one step from dropping out of school entirely. Holmstead offered me a second chance and I was able to graduate on time and have since been able to obtain all of my education and career goals. I would highly recommend this school to any student that may be struggling in a mainstrean education enviornment.

Tom S.: I attended this school and I would say they take extra care to attend to the needs of their students. In fact, if it wasn't for their efforts I certainly would have been a "drop-out". Since I graduated I have served in the Military, gained my Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain and Operations Managment, have had a very successful career as the Director of Operations for a national franchise and am thankful everyday for the guidance and support the staff gave me while I was a student.
In comparison to my peers at my public school, I have fared much better then most of them. As for the other Holmsteaders, I'm hard pressed to find any that have not had similar success to mine after graduation.
I'm sorry to hear that some parents may feel as though this school doesn't meet the needs of their children. There may be other issues than the school itself as I know there are many different needs that any particular child may have.
To all who read this, I can only speak for what I know, and I know this school turned out a good product in me and many of my fellow classmates!

Sandi: As a graduate of Holmstead i beg to differ with the above negative post.....I thank God that i had Holmstead in my life....The teachers and entire staff are the best out there.....Without Holmstead i dont know how my life would have ended up

Holmstead fails to adequately accommodate its student body and does a mediocre job of following students' IEPs. It is a shame public schools are still referring students there. Avoid at all costs.
