Sparta Middle School

This district is plagued with high taxes and lousy schools.  The schools look good, but the district is run by teachers with little compassion or caring past their own objectives.  

The extracurricular activies are minimum.  Football, cheerleading are here but almost nothing for the rest of the kids.

There are a few GREAT teachers here but there is a core group who care little about the students.  They don't use creativity or intelligence to teach, rather it is 'my way or the highway.'  The fact that there is a high level of kids who don't pass the minimum NJASK says it all.  FACTS tell the story here.

The classes are not up to NJASK standards when you would expect, from the income level here, that they would surpass the norm, 20%+ don't pass the NJASK Math!

We are leaving solely because our children are suffering from the poor education standards in this town.

We were told that Sparta was a great place for kids with learning disabilities but that was so wrong!  It is a beautiful town with lots of potential but little to say for itself in the way of education.  What a shame.
