Early Discovery Learning Center

happy mom: My son is 20 months old & has been in this school for only 3 weeks so far. Already he has progressed and learned so much after a being in another daycare for 1.5 years where it was becoming clear to us, as he was approaching the toddler stages, that he was no longer thriving due to the high amount of children enrolled and staff turnarounds. At EDLC, he gets the attention that children deserve. He loves going to school now! This center is owner operated which is a huge difference from the centers that are run by a director having no vested interest in the well being of the children. Just in 3 weeks, my son has learned to count to 9 and knows basic colors. His verbal communication has progressed tremendously in just these few weeks. The teachers here compliment & encourage the interests of each individual child. Reading previous reviews, it is unfortunate that these parents have not been able to see the good that this school brings to these children. I saw it immediately. After a very poor experience at another center, we were VERY cautious on which center our son would attend. Our guard is still up, but we are more & more impressed everyday with this school adn the attentiveness and caring of the teachers.The staff is very in tune with each childs needs, interests and feelings .The social/emotional aspect of child development is so very important (at least to us) and was severly lacking in his last daycare (& many daycares that have a large amount of children/high turn overs). The owner at EDLC has already helped us to be better parents with the wonderful advice she offers. Before registering, I have spoken to the parents at this school. They have all said nothing but wonderful things about the program and the teachers. When I pick up my son each day, the smiles on the children say it all. My husband and I wish we found Early Discovery Learning Center a long time ago
