Grace and Peace AcademyFran Mazzonna: As a follow up to my previous email, I would also like to commend the Administration of Grace & Peace for the spectacular program that was put on during the Christmas season, Miracle on Main Street. The children were outstanding from Kindergarten through to 8th grade. I was amazed at the talent of the children and with the ease that each one presented their part of the program. The Director did an absolutely wonderful job. The script, choreography, costumes and singing were all delightful. As a parent of grown children, I have attended many, many programs, plays, recitals, etc. during their growing years. I must say, this ranked up there with the best. As I sat and watched these children, I smiled the whole time. The kids and the staff did any outstanding job. I was sorry when it was over. Most of all, I think all the kids had a wonderful time performing and that really was most important.

Grace and Peace AcademyFran Mazzonna: My 2 great granddaughters have been attending Grace & Peace since the youngest was 6 months old and the oldest 2 years old, starting in the Grace & Peace Nursery school. They are now in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. We as a family could not have asked for more support, caring, understanding and the love that have been lavished on these girls. The academic programs are outstanding. Both are doing very well in their respective grades. Their accomplishements are a tribute to the staff of Grace & Peace. The support and understanding from the Principal, teachers and last not but least, the office staff, has helped these girls tremendously. They would have been swallowd up in the public school system. I would strongly recommend to any parent looking for a private school to consider Grace & Peace.

Grace and Peace AcademyJohn Amabile: I must disagree with the parent from Sep 16th. I have filled in for the Principal at the school and I can tell you that this school has teachers and administration that care. The school is in the process of having a professor from Kane University teach lesson design. This is the most up to date process in teaching in the state. These teacher are going through a program that puts educational theory into practice. I have been a priicipal in the public schools for 28 years. I talk with experiance and not from what anybody told me. I have witnessed teachers in pray before each day praying for the sucess of their students. I would not have any question about sending my child to this school.

Grace and Peace AcademyMary: I have three children who have been attending the Academy of Grace and Peace for past three years and have never had a problem with any other children. My children love this school. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The teachers are wonderful. The curriculum is academically challenging and faithful to the word of God.

Grace and Peace AcademyI strongly disagree with this account of Grace and Peace. I think as parents we need to look at our own parenting skills as to why our child would feel bullied in this school. I feel, as a parent, that if more parents took responsibility for the way they are raising their children. the problems in the schools would decrease.
If a parent is blaming a school for their child's problems, do we have to wonder why the child has issues.
This review is offensive and totally incorrect. How is this a Christian review? If we call ourselves Christians, we need to live like Christians and not needlessly bash a school.
This is a very derrogatory and un christianlike account of a school that takes personal interest in each and every child. If a child is bullied, sometimes they are a bully as well.

Grace and Peace AcademyDisappointed. I had multiple children enrolled in this school for several years. I watched a continued decline in the quality of education my children received.
School failed the students and parents on both the academic and spiritual level. Bullying was present, teacher and student alike, and the school did not enforce the no-bully tolerance policy it so firmly stated it abided by. Parental concerns were disregarded and openly mocked by staff. Individual attention was not received when requested, and poor academic/behavior was not addressed in parent-teacher-principal meetings. The desire of the school to appear "The Best Private Christian School" in the area over-road the need to instruct and guide the children properly. If the school took the time it has invested into publicity and instead invested it into the students (and families) the large number of families (which left) would have remained. A school cannot succeed when staff is more important that students, and parents are only good for their money.
A school which label's itself as Christian should ensure that all staff conduct themselves in a manner accordingly. I found that some of the attitudes present were no different than those which I observed in a public school. The school also has experienced a rather high turn over rate for both students and staff.
As a former parent, I cannot recommend this school to other families. I have no personal quarrel with the individuals however, I do not feel this school is lead in a way which encourages academic enrichment and Christian values. Children learn by example!

Grace and Peace AcademyTom: The Academy offers outstanding academic opportunities. Care is taken to see that the students receive personal attention. The school also offers a program in pre-engineering concepts. This is a great school.
