Silver Bay Elementary School

tinaellis: this school is o.k if you have a child who is a typical student, but if you are a parent who has a child who is on the autistic spectrum the school is a nightmare to say the least. thay do not follow childrens specialized iep , they have broken so many special education laws. my child is a very  smart boy who they have  almost ruined because they use the punitive approach and punish the children for there disibility. i would say to parents stay far away from this school if you are looking for a good team to help your child.they do not listen to parents, they also take away vital script written occupational therapy as a way to make child finish there work. and the worst ... last year a teacher shoved my child against a wall. all because my child asked if his crying friend could see a nurse one too many times. they used symantics to get the teacher off the hook. all the teacher had to do was appologize to my son.  and he never did. i could go on for days....

Lisa M: I simply love this school.  I truly feel personally it is one of the best elementary schools in our district.  My older son who is now 20 attended this school and now his two younger sisters are as well who are 5 and 7.  The teachers, staff, principal, even down to the janitors are simply the best.  They each display a love for learning and teaching.
