The best thing about this school was pulling my child out. The school has gone through may teachers and principals who apparently also have to leave because they are not happy with the school either. My child was bullied and nothing was ever done no matter how many times I complained. The school is poorly run and the children who attend this school do not get enough time to be kids. As the other reviews stated they play favorites. The school is run down and although you pay a fortune for tuition they always want more. I would strongly urge anyone who is considering sending their child here to please check into other schools. This is not a good environment to learn in!

My child attended this school and I have never been more unhappy than during this time. The children are rude and act out with unacceptable behavior that is tolerated because of who they are and how much their family donates. Punishment is only given to children who don't know someone there.. The education is also substandard using homework as a means of making up for lack of classroom instruction. Teachers are not certified. Any normal student's parents decide to pull the child out of the school so all that is left is an odd bunch of children with many behavioral issues that go unaddressed by their parents as well as the school for fear that they will loose more students. They preach Catholic values but they have no clue how to live what they preach. They are in no way kid, loving or follow Jesus' way of doing things. This school is destined for failure and the students and their parents would never survive in a normal school.

I attended Our Lady of Consolation Academy for grades 6 and 7 and I couldn't have been more miserable there. The students were horribly behaved. It was worse than any public school behavior that I've ever encountered. Rumors were constantly being spread and certain students were 'protected' from punishment because of 'who knew who'. The teachers, however, did give me a good education that help me with my Math and Language Arts skills. However some teachers obviously didn't want to be there. In my own opinion, that wasn't enough to make me stay there for eighth grade. With the economy failing and the prices of gas going up, along with my dread of going there every morning, I decided that for my eighth grade year I would attend my townships middle school. So far, I am way more satisfied with student behavior and the teachers. Later, after I left I found out that I was still being mentioned at Our Lady of Consolation, as the star of the hurtful rumors, and not just by the students but by the middle school staff as well. I can not possible express how happy I am that I am no longer attending OLC and that my one friend who is still attending the school will soon be off at high school by next year.
