Anthony Charter School Reviews

All negative comments - nothing positive to state

By a Parent on

Using a rating system of 1 star (extremely unsatisfied) to 5 stars (satisfied) - a rating of  negative stars would be the most accurate rating of this school. The teacher and student turnover is extremely high due to abhorrently poor administration. Parent and student complaints to the school board repeatedly go unanswered and unresolved. Limited curricular programs/courses and lack of extracurricular activities result in a less than adequate education.  Highest scoring test results are from 7th grade students who previously attended GISD or other schools.  Gang related activities and drugs are also an issue with no security onsite.   Recently, transcript issues have become a huge issue making transferring into another school extremely difficult. Parents and prospective students BEWARE!!!

This school is the worst school in the area the principal is racist, has her "favorites" and allows bullying in the school. The school should be shut down and all the kids sent back to their home schools where maybe they wont be so behind.

Extremely frustrated with the way the director runs the school.  Since the inception of the school three years ago, the director has gone through 15 teachers.  With only 5 sometimes 6 teachers on staff a year, that averages to 4 teachers per year who leave, almost replacing the entire staff each year.  Parent complaints also go unresolved by the school board.  Lack of extracurricular activities and programs is also an issue. Would not recommend this school.
