Mother of student beginning k-4
We started my daughter when she was three in k-4 due to her birth date being in late November. We were very hesitant at first to start her early, but are extremely grateful that we did!
She will be starting 2nd grade this year and since kinder has not only been a strong reader, but has excelled in phonics, mathematics, spelling etc.
The teachers are amazing! they are dedicated and spend a lot of one on one with them. They use the Bob Jones curriculum which is also amazing!
The school is no longer run by Mr. Sanchez, but by Pastor Shaun Gibson. Since, the school is very proficient and VERY well ran. He is very easy to talk to with any problems or questions (he's on it) as well as Susan Guest, school administrator.
The school is Christian "GOD" based non denominational. They welcome you with open arms. The school has a family feel to it.
As far as I know, there has not been one case of bullying. I especially love how the older children are so kind with the younger students.
To sum it up our family feels very blessed to have found this school. My daughter loves her school and feels honored to be a WARRIOR!!!
love the excellent Christian education!!!!
We like the atmosphere and surroundings of the school.
We do have a problem with the amount of work put upon the children and the time it takes. It seems they have little instruction in the class and that the kids have to do on own with parents help and then there is a quiz and test. We don't feel that the kids are getting enough of calss help to understand the material given and learn. It seems they are just memorizing the material and moving on and being rushed through quick to another unit/chapter. We as parents have spoken to teachers and Mr. Sanchez and are told they are going to get together and review this. To many test are given in the same day and to hard for the kids to study for 3 tests and do other class work given. On headmaster it is to give all homework given but it seems the children are coming home with other work not on HeadMaster and it might say study for test but does ot state when test is? Yes, the children should know but we as parents should be able to look and make sure our children are following through. The children need down time and family time and this is not happening in this 4-5 weeks so far. We have had at least 4-5 hours of homework a night on several nights and the children are simply exausted and not getting enough family time or rest. In the parent hand book it states it would be 80-120 min. of homework not that for each class per night! I hope this will be evaluated soon!!!!
Thank you for your time...
