About This School
Alternative schools are public schools that offer nontraditional education for students whose needs cannot be met in a regular, special education, or vocational school. While alternative schools are distinct from regular, special education, and vocational schools in their teaching approach or classroom environment, they can provide similar services and/or curriculum for students. Alternative schools include schools for potential dropouts, residential treatment centers for substance abuse, schools for chronic truants, and schools for students with behavioral problems. Rio Rancho Cyber Acd School Reviews
This school has been just the setting my son whom has ADD needed. He was very distracted at the traditional public school. Rio Rancho Cyber Academy provides instruction at this school two days a week with the rest of instruction taking place online at home. I have found the teaching style and curriculum have proven to help my son learn at his own pace without distractions. One of the things I have found very helpful with this school is you can access your child's grades and progress daily.
I don't believe Rio Rancho Cyber Academy is suited for every child. If your child has any trouble working independently this may not be the school for them. Also, some children and parents may find the schedule and lack of student interaction somewhat isolating. As for my child, the anxiety and distractions have been eliminated and he is thriving at this school.
If this is the experience your child needs and prefers Rio Rancho Cyber Academy is a wonderful school. I feel so lucky to have this option available to my child.
