fast-Octavia: I'm Omar's mother and i was the one who attend the parents meeting back in July; what the owner, Psychotherapist Arete Galanis, found inappropriate ,was that i open the subject regarding my son's fear going to the daycare after the teacher and her assistants took off for the summer; Omar was attending Odyssey since he was 1 year old from 2010 and we never had an issue there until this summer, when, the caregivers from taking care of the infants moved over with the toddlers; and to don't forget to mention that at the beginning of the summer when the curriculum was presented somebody else supposed to take over the toddlers but never was respected as said; my son was refusing to go telling me that the "teachers " are yelling all the time; one week before the parents meeting, during drop off my husband saw one of the caregivers approaching one of the child in an inappropriate way and i made that public at the parents meeting; of course miss Arete got in fire when she heard what i was saying and she ask me to talk in private about this;she said that she has to find out exactly what happen that day; meanwhile i asked her to check the video cameras too, but she said that her cameras are not working "they overwrite each other " which i don't think is a good sign;
of course all the parents were wondering who was the caregiver and which child was;
this is the true reason that OMAR was forced to leave the daycare; miss Arete couldn't stand that i confess something which actually was true in front of all the parents;
i wasn't happy in the way we've been forced to leave the daycare but meanwhile she did us a favor, there are many great daycares in Astoria for sure better than ODYSSEY!!!

Just a reminder to miss Arete in case she forgot who was the first one to volunteer to keep the child home while she was waiting to get the permit for the UPK class;
