Les Enfants Montessori School Reviews

By a Parent on

My child has been attending Les Enfants for over two years now and I have been extremely pleased with the experience.  It is very comforting to know that when I drop my son off at the school he is going to place where he is happy, cared for, and exposed to so many different things.  The amount he has learned since he has started is quite impressive - reading, addition, subtraction, spanish, french, karate and more.  The staff has been great and I have found the administration to be the same - when I have had concerns or questions I would ask the Director to schedule an appmt. and I would be given as much time as needed.   The main concern for the Les Enfant's Team is the Children and for me that is what matters the most.

I already review this school on a different website, in any case I will leave it here too.

We both consider ourselves lucky for finding such a nice school with passionate and knowledgeable teachers. Please take time to learn more and understand Maria Montessori methods and how that helps your child development.

Our family just moved to the USA and our 4 year old son is starting to learn English now, he is attending this school for 1 month and we can notice progress.

We feel that the staff of Les Enfant School understands the uniqueness of each child, helping them develop excellent intellectual and social skills at their own rhythm. We are very happy and highly recommend it.

This is really a joke.  I don't see the method permeating the school.  Some of the teachers are not even holding masters of education degree.  One teacher even left the school without notice.  I wonder how the principle take responsibility for hiring incompetent individual.  This is really a bad school.

My child has been there for two years and she is thriving! The teachers are wonderful, caring, and there's a lovely community there overall.  While the administration does not have the best communication skills with parents,  they truly love the kids. I have never had any problems getting questions answered, arranging observations, or getting info to and from the teachers, it just sometimes takes time because the administration is involved with kids in the classroom. Regarding the previous posting, the teachers most certainly do have montessori training; all of the certificates are hanging on the wall in the director's office! Moreover, there are scheduled observation days twice a year. When I had to miss them year because of work, I was able to come the next week and dedfinitely saw the Montessori method in action. But really, the best part is that my daughter is happy, safe and smart.

I am very sorry to write this as I am not someone who complains a lot, much less write a negative review. But I feel compelled in order to warn parents who consider attending their child to this school. First of all, it is as some of the previous writers wrote, difficult to know if the Montessori philosophy is followed, because the information they provide about this is very limited. Second, the principal and director are indeed unprofessional and incompetent for the function they have. They seem not to embody the tasks of being a role model and providing a healthy organized place for education. Somehow they just don t want to take the responsibility. I m actually wondering if they have accomplished any studies in education. The third thing I find necessary to mention is the total lack of communication. When you re the head of a school, you need to be prepared to talk to parents and show your good will. But nothing of this is happening here. Overall there is a negative energy, because there is too much focus on the things children are not allowed to do; instead of rewarding and stimulating good behavior.

We have had a very good experience at Les Enfants.  Teachers are caring, and the school respects the whole child - physical and social development is a priority alongside academics.  The school offers flexible hours, does not take as many holidays and breaks as the public schools, and offers extras like piano, dance, and karate during the schoolday so you and your child can relax after school instead of going to lessons.  They now offer through grade 5.  We came to Les Enfants after a horrible kindergarten year in public school and are very happy here.

My child goes to Les Enfants since 19 months old, I really like the method they work with the children, although I find the tuition quite expensive $935.00 per month with no lunch or snack provided by the school, at times they need more orientation organizing the events they provide.

My children attended Les Enfants only briefly.  The management is extremely poor, non-communicative, and at times rude.  We were very disappointed with our experiences and discontinued our children's care and education there.  We WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this school to others.
