Children's Home of Wyoming Con

Lack'd up thats funny. My son had  been residing there for awhile and now is Going there just for schooling. It is far from Jail (lock'd Up). This program isnt supose to be fun and games it is run to hopfully guide your child down a better path. For your child to be sent there means there has to be issues in the first place.....

Katherine: My son was ordered to be sent there for 90 days evaluation by Oswego County Family Court, Judge Hafner in the late 1990's. He was 14 years old at the time and had minor behavioral issues at school. After serving his 90 days for an evaluation he came home and when asked about his experiences there, my son would only say that "You can't even begin to imagine how horrible it was there, it was bad, real bad, I would rather die than have to go back to Wyoming Conference." My son still refuses to talk about what happened to him during his time there and his behavior following his stay at Wyoming Conference was much worse. Given the chance to go back in time and make a different choice, I would fight tooth and nail to keep my son out of that place, even if it ruined us financially. My son's mental and psychological evaluations done there showed him to have no signs of mental illness, but when he returned home, he seemed to have gained several mental and psychological issues including depression and rage.

ABSOLUTELY WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE SENDING MY CHILD TO THE DAY TREAMENT PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM SOUNDED TO BE TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.....AND IT WAS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY PARENT WHO HAS A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD, IT IS A SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH BEHAVIORAL ISSUES ONLY. IF THAT IS THE CASE THIS SCHOOL COULD BRING GREAT SUCCESS FOR YOUR CHILD.
