Brockport Child Day Care Center

mfbama: I can't say enough great things about this school!!! The teachers are all amazing! They are fun, funny, creative, and truly adore the kids. They are extremely flexible, and communicate immediately but kindly if they feel your child is struggling or excelling in any area. The activities they do on a daily basis are so varied and creative they make ME jealous I don't go there! It's a very laid-back yet structured environment. Twice a day the older children go to "Large Motor Room,"  which is an indoor play room where children can run, jump, shout, and just generally be pre-schoolers. The room has an area with a wooden floor and about 20 tricycles that the children can ride around on. On nice days they open the large sliding doors by the wooden floor and the kids can ride the trykes outside and play on the playground. My daughter attended a Montessori school for two months, and she would come home exhausted and cranky from trying to follow the pretty rigid rule system in place (and that was after only 3 hrs). Out of necessity, we had to look for a place nearer Brockport where my husband was going back to school. I was weary of sending her to a "day care," not to mention she'd be attending from 9AM to 3PM, but she came bounding in afterward so excited to tell me about her day. Now she asks everyday how many "wakeups" until she gets to go back! I appologize for gushing, but I really do feel that strongly about Brockport Child Development Center (as it's now known).
