About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See International Leadership Charter School's test results to learn more about school performance.

International Leadership Charter School Reviews
This is seriously the worst school any child can go to, the lunch is HORRIBLE, [content removed by School Finder Review Team], the is NO GYM, NO PHYSICAL ACTIVITY except for there Taekwando classes, but that is only for 11th graders and 12th graders, hours are from 8:00 - 4:30 and they EXPECT YOU TO STAY UP ALL DAY LONG WITH NO TROUBLE. The place is crowded, if the school does not get the new building they are Supposely building for this school, there is no hope for this school. [content removed by School Finder Review Team] and we always have to ACT a certain way when there are visitors in the school, honestly the worst school i have ever gone too, this school is the prime example of disorganized, don't let the NY Grading of this school distract you from the chaos that is in this school, also there is really only 1 printer for atleast 300 kids to print due work to teachers, we sometimes just have to give the usb to the teachers themselves and tell them to take it from there the security guards are just pretend, they don't do anything at all, literally nothing, check your bag and metal detect you and that's it for the rest of the day they sit down. This school does not even have any medical aid, all they really have is 2 first aid kits, really that's it. and any child can leave the school just by saying their stomach hurts or what not.
This is the worst school I could had ever attended to! No one wants to be there and the principal doesn't treat everyone the same ways!.. When ever there are visitors they tell us to behave in order to stay out of problems.. I hate that school so much, and I'm hopping to transfer this year I can't stand it anymore!!! Never send your child to that school, worst school ever!
This school is not perfect but it was the school that myself and many of my classmates needed. I am grateful for Dr. Lopez and her vision to start ILCS and how she cares about the education of kids in the community. I am in college and will get my degree in 3 and one half years. My life has changed with a future and this would have not been possible if I had attended my zone school. All I got to say is that students who take advantage of the training and the hard work required at ILCS will go far. I give this school a ten. There are adults who call themselves "teachers" who are manipulating and telling students to lie about their school because it did not work for them. They are getting kids all crazy about this school but don't really care about where they wind up.
This shcool is an excellent choice for my child and all students who are serious about college and their education. I am a parent and teacher. Unfortunately there are students and parents who do not value discipline, want a private school for their kids and cannot afford it but do not appreciate what they have. They enrolled at ILCS and cannot follow rules and expectations. The founder Dr. Elaine Ruiz Lopez worked very hard to develop a positive and safe school environment for kids who have dreams of going to college. The teachers who have left needed to leave and some of them should not teach anywhere. This is a school with a no excuses envrionment. I say that the people who are so critical of this school and its founder should go to other schools and better yet seriously look into starting their own school. BTW my son graduated on time is in a great 4 year University along with 35 other students. See the website for facts.
