PS 71 Rose E Scala School Reviews
my son is in 8th grade
The quality of the education here has gone down considerably...In addition to being bullied by the students for many yrs and the administration's lack of effort to resolve this problem or even do anything about it, it seems the teachers have become bullies as well... singling out students for mockery, rude comments and negativity...they are so angry all they do is scream all day and have stopped teaching the kids anything but how to yell...
If something is not done to correct this, these kids will suffer and not learn anything but how to be a bully as well, being in a position of authority does not give anyone the right to make fun of or abuse a child...this goes on every day at P.S. 71 - walk by on a nice day, when the windows are open and take a listen, you wont believe what your ears will hear... the screams of the teachers berating these poor kids all day long...
This school is the best
PS 71 Rose E Scala School installed a lot of new technology and the teachers are very nice.
THE SCHOOL RATINGS IS DOWN DUE TO TO MANY STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOL, THAT PARENTS DO NOT SPRAK ENGLISH AND CANNOT HELP THEIR CHILDREN WITH THEIR HOMEWORK. THE SYSTEM MADE IT TO EASY AND OUR FUTURE CHILDREN ARE THE ONES WHO ARE SUFFERING.
One way to alleviate the overcrowding and shorten the wait list is to ensure that the children attending this school live in the neighborhood and will be able to walk to school. A large part of the overcrowding is caused when students live outside of the immediate area and change (or lie about) their address to enroll in the school, this school should be for residents first. If there is some reason that parents want to lie to get children into this school then there must be a problem at their own neighborhood school. Those problems will never be addressed by causing another school to become overcowed. Those schools that have problems should be addr
this school is great because my teachers are nice. Also I could make new freinds. My favorite teacher I had was Mrs.DICEMBERIE.
This is by far the best school in the Bronx if not the entire city of ny. My kid has been here since kindergarten and is in the 8th grade now. She actually turned down an offer from a good charter school to stay in 71. Thats how good it is. It also helps that its in a great area of the Bronx, Pelham Bay.
My son started the 5th grade in sept 2009. Since he started his grades has been no less the 85 and he made the honer roll.
My son enjoys going to school he loves his teachers and the new enviorment. I will like to thank the staff at P.S 71 for a job well done.
