Essence School

The school has gone down drastically.  Under the new administration, there is no control over the children and the behavior is horrible.  The principal is very laid back and does not arrive to school on time to see what takes place in the mornings.  The school prides itself on being an integrated model where special ed and general ed students are in the  same class.  There is only one special ed teacher for the entire school and the kids barely get any services even though parents are told otherwise.  No after school activities or enrichment programs except art and swimming for the 6th graders only.  Many of whom barely take advantage of the program.  Moral is really low among the staff.  I had my other children attend this school in the past and loved it.  However, I cannot send my other children.  Performance is LOW and the principal is totally CLUELESS.  Don't really know how she got the job.
