MS 61 Gladstone H Atwell School Reviews
In my opinion Ms 61 is one of the best schools in district 17.
I really don't know what some people are talking about. I am a senior at Ms 61 and I am in the Britou-Moore Academy. Since I started going to this school in the 6th grade I enjoyed it. I think the teachers are very loving because they claim the students as their kids. Ms. Morman told my class that even though the DOE gave Ms. 61 a C, many parents are still enrolling their kids because they think that Britou-Moore is a different school. Visitors even said that they believe our school deserves an A. In my heart know that this school has its ups and down like everything in the world but I still love it. I don't know what I would do when I have to leave next year.
To the people who say it's a bad school don't know what they are talking about. I'm in the 7th grade and I went to MS 61 last year as well and I'm happy to go next year. It is not a bad school. I'm having so much fun so I don't know what the other comments are talking about. Bring your child, it's a fun educational school.
I graduated from here 2 years ago. This school was an average school when I graduated. There were little things to do when I attended this school. First of all, I came from the CAT academy and it wasn't the best. I do regret not going to Britou-Moore as I was academically able to do so. Some of the teachers were very caring teachers; if you showed interest in your work, they will show interest in you. My favorite teachers were Ms. Daniel (R.I.P) she made math in a way that caught my attention and it's so hard to explain. I'm not very good in math but with her, I was able to pick it up fast. Ms. Harper showed interest in my writing skills and has inspired me to continue writing. Mr. Balogun was just fun, of course I learned in his class but he was very comical. Finally, Mr. Rizon, the health teacher was very straightforward; we watched movies with him and he would compare it to the real world. About after school activities, there weren't many when I was there. There was only one which was fun. The school changed drastically when I left, there are more activities and sports. I saw that Joe Jonas visited and I was kinda jealous. To summarize this whole thing, the school has gotten more lively after I left.
I am a student from MS61 and I love MS61 I went from 6th grade to 8th grade right now. MS61 has a great staff. Yeah, sometimes they may work your brain but I still love MS61. I wish I could stay there longer but when it's time to go it's time go.
This school is fun but they care more about uniforms than the kids' education.
I think M.S. 61 is a very good school, but the staff is terrible and have no respect for the students and visitors.
I think MS61 is a good public school. I attend and so far it teaches me well.
I think that ms.61 is a great school for all gifted and talented children and I heard that they prepare you for ninth grade ms. 61 is great. When we came to the school to pick up the book with the folder and stuff, my daughter was so excited and she loved how the school was built.
