Overall, I think PS 104 is a good school. The elementary school, grades K-5, has a very good curriculum. My child has had excellent teachers upto this point. Unfortunately, the middle school does not have a great reputation. My child just begun the 6th grade, so I'm hoping for a good year. I would like to see a foreign language added to the curriculum and also it would be great if the school would offer some sport. The elementary school teachers have a great reputation but the middle school teachers are perceived as "mean". Unfortunately, some children are intimidated if the teachers are too stern and this may hinder their learning and affect their grades. I realize students need someone who is firm and who they respect but not someone they fear or fell uncomfortable with.
