PS 69 Jackson Heights School

Zhen, J.: I had graduated from P.S. 69Q in 2006 and I LOVED the school. Caring teachers that set you straight, a parent-teacher association that gets involved at the school everyday, clean&sanitary bathrooms, after school programs to help w/ homework, along with sports activities (HANAC). Even if you aren't very athletic climbing the stairs everyday will certainly give you the exercise you need. Every individual gets to experience the arts, hence being a magnet school; Being able to dance with instructors from ballet studios, getting lessons on Beethoven, Igor Stravinsky, hearing stories told by authors in the atrium..etc I've got to say that nearly all of the teachers and staff are very devoted, some even make the time to go out and play sports a certain day of the week, as long as the lesson plan is thoroughly gone over. Others have helped those in need of supplies, spending money out of their own pockets. My second grade teacher Mrs. Goldman, whom is now retired would have a treasure chest and after a certain number of stars, whether for good behavior, reading a vast #of books..would let u reach in and take an item. I miss each teacher (Ms. Syed, Mrs. Prudhome, Mrs. Goldman, Mr. Massetti, Mrs. Gilbert, Ms. Katsoulas) dearly and hope to one day visit that school once more.
