kim: so far being a first time mother to a pulbic school. The principle has left a good impression on me. Im not scared to ask questions because they were attentive to them.

Some of the reviews I read are not accurate. The staff at the Eastwood school are one of the hardest working people I have had the pleasure to work with. Every school has it's problems, lets be fair. If our school is so bad then why are we so overcrowded?

PS 95 was an excellent school back in 1996 when my oldest daughter attended. Also my middle child, but now I have my last child at PS 95 and the school is not the school it use to be. I was told that the school has so much funds available and the principal is not using them. They have taken away art programs and I was informed by my child that recess is sitting in the school auditorium not allowed to talk and must read a book. The administration and staff can be extremely rude at times. I think the Principal is not a very good fit for the school. She needs to start using the funds and put back the arts into the school. Also I think they need to change the school name to" PS 95 The School that yells at kids" sorry but most of the staff there thinks yelling at children is a form of communication.

The administration and staff of this school are terribly rude to parents. This school offers no gym to this children, nor music, nor art and all this because the principal thinks that as a Title 1 school, having this classes is a "luxury". They have a playground that only few kids get to use and for the rest, recess consist in "quiet reading time". Parents are not welcome if they come with questions, and are constantly reminded of their responsibilities but never instructed on their rights.

Florita: PS 95 is an excellent school. I love this school for my son who is currently in first grade. His teacher always answer my questions and challenges my son with more school work. He can do third grade work now. I have a wide variety of after school programs. Everything is great about this school except for it not being totally clean. The bathrooms and fountain are not clean so I give my son a bottle of water to go to school everyday.
