Food and Finance High School Reviews
This school seems very educational especially with cooking. For example the three students who studied in food and finance high school and later became very professional chefs. I feel this school is definitely a school that will get you somewhere in the future.
The school is great if your child really wants to become a chef. If that kid has a passion for cooking and the chefs notice it, or the child shows it off, that child will most likely be succesfull here. But beware, i went in thinking i wanted to be a chef, but found out i just liked cooking, and the different ways of doing it, i didnt have the passion to become a chef though... The normal required classes( math, science, history) are a bit challenged. Math isnt the best subject in this school, even with math being a huge part of a chefs life, but history is the one that picks the school up, with a lot of students scoring 80's or higher on regents.
I went to the Open House. It was great I was astonished by how big the kitchens were. I also was introduced into a friendly environment, but was sadden by the fact that there are no cell phones allowed. However, this school is great and I was very impressed by its look staff and students.
I went to the open house as well. I was practically smiling the whole time until they said they don't allow cell phones. Although I am still very excited about going. Heres hoping I get accepted! I as well don't know all the facts but there are definitely a lot of positive aspects.
I think that this would benefit my life for the future. So that I can be a success to this school later on. This is one dream in reality to succeed in the future for me and that's to become a chef and help the needy/homeless who can't afford to pay bills and I can describe m self as one of those people. My hope is to be accepted to this school and graduate. That will be my American dream.
This is my absolute first choice for public school. I want to be a chef so it is absolutely perfect plus it has a bunch of awesome clubs and it has a 90% graduation rate. By the way, did you know this is the 2nd top school with the most applicants? It teaches you the fundamentals of cooking so you could be comfortable in a kitchen if you get an internship. I learned most of this in the open house and the rest in the public high school book although I don't attend this school so I don't know exactly how its like. There are only two negative elements to this school which are no cellphones and there are metal detectors. Nothing ever really happened in the school for them to have them it is simply for safelty. Again I don't attend this school, I only now what I heard from in the open house so I don't know all the facts. I REALLY HOPE THEY ACCEPT ME THOUGH :D
this school is preety awsome and i hope they acept me to in march when i apply, i want to take my dads dream and my dream of being a chef & bring it to life!
i think it is one of the best schools i have ever heard off.....yall rock...i want to go to this school so bad....im praying that you guys accept me...
