High School for Fashion Industries Reviews

By a Current Student on

I'm currently a senior fashion major. This school is amazing. It changed my life and I've met amazing people along the way. Everyday is like a fashion show lol people dress up really nice, and the classes are fun. Of course, every school has it's pros and cons. Trees always going to be disrespectful people everywhere we go but, that shouldn't change your opinion about this school. Its an amazing opportunity!! I can't wait to graduate but, I'm definitely missing this school. Check it out, there's open houses and dont believe everything you read online. :)

I'm a former student, class of 1966.
I always felt safe in this school.
And was blown away by all the classes they offered back then
I'm not familiar with the classes now other than fashion design which I went there to study.
Outside of my classes I was involved with chorus and the theatre club.
I have always felt this is one of the best and unique schools in the city.
It helped to shape the person that I am now.

I just got accepted to this school. I was really excited when my family went to see the school. It seems like a comfortable place to learn and have fun. But I have been reading on the internet that it is not really a great school, that students are disrespectful to the teachers and that fights happen. Hopefully not; I'm crossing my fingers for it to be the opposite of all those comments and be the high school I've been dreaming of.

Good afternoon, I am a former student (class of 1983) and I am excited to have a chance to express my feelings about this school.  Back in 1979 this was the only school I applied for.  I was naive, but hopeful in getting accepted.  When I found out I was accepted, I was the happiest person on earth.  Throughout my 4 years my feelings never changed, in fact I can say they were the best 4 years of my life.  This school was everything I had hoped for and more.  Although I never pursued Fashion Design professionally, if I had it to do over I would choose this school a hundred times.  I proudly tell anyone where I graduated from and they are impressed.  I'm so glad to see the school has not changed as far as the curriculum, in fact it has improved.  I had a chance to revisit a few years ago when I had to retrieve my transcript for state employment.  As soon as I walked through the doors, I felt like I was home.
