Manhattan/Hunter Science High School Reviews

By a Current Student on

As a current student of Manhattan Hunter Science High School. I can say with full certainty that Manhattan Hunter Science High School is uniquely one of kind. The reason why our school is one of a kind is because it really does work with its students. As a current student myself. I can say that the options for extra help span from study groups to teacher to student help. Which when you reach the early college level of your senior year like I have.Becomes all the essential in both passing and excelling in your classes. Because our school is quite small. There is this vary close family vibe to it. Everyone knows each other and looks out for each other. Which you rarely find in other schools. This close relationship is what had given Hunter in my opinion. The ability to foster creativity and growth not just with its students but as a school. Granted it might not look attractive from the outside. Which might be a turn off. However on the inside of the school free though is living and roaming. I can tell you this. Hunter might not be perfect but if theres any close to perfect than I'd say Hunter earns those stars.

MHSHS has a small population of students that is located on the top of floor of Martin Luther King Jr. campus building with a few other H.S. below. The teachers are nice and very determinate to help us graduate, but while we are situated in the top floor, beware of no outside air because hello, you are surrounded by unopened windows! Great view though. Best part about this H.S. is attending Hunter College in your senior year, because you get to experience college earlier than other H.S. students, but too bad we don't have AP classes. Overall, I'll say that this is a decent school.
