MS 324 Patria Mirabal Middle School Reviews
Hope you can put your child in this school!
Ms.324 is a wonderful school. The first day my daughter came from school I asked her how was her day and she just said I want to live in that school. I love that school. Ms.324 is a very strict school and it teaches kids not to be in gangs and not to be on the street like how some teenagers are. In this school it is strict, but it is also a very fun and safe environment.
It is a wonderful school, fully of very mature, smart and dedicated teachers who go way beyond what is expected. My son is in 6th grade, and we were desperate all last year to find an appropriate setting and couldn't find it. This school came up literally the last day of fifth grade and we wondered why no one had mentioned it. He is learning a great deal of science and math. His math teacher has free Saturday tutoring for which she invites professionals and Columbia students to join her in these three hour sessions, complete with bagels. The same teacher gets to school every day at 7am so that kids who can't do homework in the afternoon have a safe and comfortable place to get it done. There is great emphasis on achievement and maturity in students without making one feel that it is being done for the school's own image. You really feel that all that is being emphasized is in the interest of the kids.
The building is new and modern, the street is quiet, the kids are orderly, and it is a great hidden gem of 168 street in Washington Heights.
