PS 145 Bloomingdale School Reviews
This school is very unorganized, very loud and teachers simply do not care. Beware that if you a have a special needs child. You will have the hardest time getting services. Teachers are all scared of the principal, so if you're stuck there and need help quick call her. They are her puppets and they do what she says, but once you leave that door and they do one thing for you, guess what, you're going to have to do the same thing again. When parents and teachers don't care the children all suffer. They need better rules, and someone to help implement them. Not just sit down and yell at the children. That's not teaching, that's abuse.

The Pre-K program is good and the school has some good teachers, but overall the school is badly managed. Administration and oversight are poor, as can be seen from the school failing state standards year after year. It is A SINI (school in need for improvement) this year as well, and all children are being offered places at better schools under the federal No Child Left Behind program. If you have a choice for K-5, consider sending your child elsewhere.
