PS 173 Elementary School Reviews
i went to this school from 1951-1956 and it was the best of times. i cannot remember all of my teachers, but one i do remember was a mrs gordon in either kindergarten or 1st grade;she was a real gem.fun days we sure had, too bad they had too chop the old schoolyard down to half of it's original size;we played lots of softball, stickball, and touch football in those days.
This elementary school has great teachers who care for their students. The principal interacts with the students on the daily basis. She supervises the lunchroom and classrooms. She makes sure everything is organized and in order;classrooms are neat and supplies are in place. The staff runs the office smoothly.
I am a former student of P.S.173. Honestly I loved the school it had good education, the teachers were nice and funny. Every teacher of 173 shares there attention equally with every child they teach. I had a lot of fun and the activities were thrilling and was a great way to bond with friends or not so close friends. Once you leave 173 you will realize that your classmates were like your sisters and brothers. I felt that way a year after I graduated. Leaving the school is sad but its a way to grow up and leave your childhood behind. You can always visit the school to say hi to old teachers. They certainly miss you and you do too!!!
