University Neighborhood Middle School Reviews
As a oublic school teacher and a parent, I can honestly say that this is a wonderful school. I do not know why there is not a line outside to apply. This is a progressive school, like many other in the district, only here, the classes are smaller, the environment is warm and personal ,and the educational level is high and demanding. The teachers are smart and organzied. They keep in touch with any parent that contacts them. The classes are innovative and technology is iimmbedded. Each child is given a lap top to use in school. My son had words with another boy, the school immediately called them into a mediation;today they are good friends. The school is safe, the deans watch over the students during dismissal. My son is taking film-making after school and loving it. As a parent, I am feel welcomed by the staff and I know that my opinion counts. Whatever happened here in the past, is in the past. Today, any child who attends University Neighborhood Middle is going to suceed.
Do not send your child to this school, its horrible. I am a former student of unms and i hated it with all my might.the teachers are terrible and so is the principle. Dont let them persuade you to come to this school . Your child will suffer emotionally and maybe even physically.i was in this school 2 years ago, i was nice to everyone but i didn't recieve the same treatment back. i was in unms for 1 year because i had friends to help me out but they were also bullied.i went to another school, a catholic school and it is amazing. I can finally say that i am happy .
This school is okay but I think it needs improvent like in the bathrooms. Also in having more classes to take like french, music, or also have school teams like soccer team, volleyball teams.
