I love this school ever since I was enrolled here. I had been here since the school had opened in 2nd grade, and now being in highschool my time had been well spent there. Since 295 is a relatively small school teachers get to know your students with one on one assistance if needed. Also over the years being at the school you form tight relationships with students, and with bullying being non existent you can assure you your child will be very safe, and have a fun time here. Though no school is perfect lunch can sometimes be a issue as it is from the NYDOE. Overall I will never forget my time here with the unforgettable teachers i've had like Ms. Hall, as well as Ms. Mcfarlane just to name a few. The school has so many opportunities for students, and lots of intresting school activities to do. I was in student council for the first year it officially ran, until i left and I have to say that it was a fun experience to be hands on in the school. My friends have also joined different clubs, and teams which was a very interesting addition to the school. I'll never forget my time at this school, and the teachers I've met, and with the friends I've made forever I love this school, and all it has given me to be successful in life

the schools good, but it always smells really bad. you constantly see kids holding their noses and such. it smells like drugs and cigars and booze most of the time, though sometimes like sweats. the teachers are good though.

Don't Do It

By a Former Student on

This school is awful. The teachers barely care and let the students do anything, ranging from drugs to sexual content. The amount of peer pressure is unimaginable, I barely escaped with my life. If you want to live, don't go to this school. I'm begging you.

I love this school because I'm a fifth grader in mrs.thabets class. This June were going to a trip to madame Tussaud wax museum . On the lunch menu there sometimes cheese sticks. Pizza every Friday. The teachers are so nice and help you through problems.

P.S/I.S 295 is a great school. It is still new, and so it is neat, and supplies are available. We recieved an "A" on the Board of Ed City/State Wide Test scores. I never felt threatened- Teachers/ the guidance counselar were supportive. The teachers are thorough and students are always asked for extra help in subjects.
