fred stelaen.: The teachers at my sons school PS 90 are ok. The reason i don't transfer my son is because of the principal. She is very hands on, smart and really seems to care about the her school.

Milificent Golkie: In my deepest opinion this school needs to check their treatment when it comes to race relations. It is sad that in the year 2012 our children have to be treated a certain way because of the color of their skin. When the majority of the school is Hispanic and of Indian influence the lesser minority will always get the bitter end of the stick. Let's be real here the facts are obviously noted when you research the stats of this school. Two of my daughters friends who happens to be of African-American decent had to leave this school due to the maltreatment of the teachers. I heard three times already that they have left children back a grade on purpose. I find this appalling that this so called "school with heart " is doing this. I am sorry but this school is an unfair institution.

I agree there are some really good teachers in this school and some bad ones as well. I had a situation at a I.E.P. meeting where I felt my child was not getting the education she deserves from her teachers and I suggested transferring her to another school. Would you believe that my daughters teacher yelled at me saying it would not make a difference. Then had the nerve to brag that she is going to have my daughter again next semester. That was the most disgusting display of unprofessionalism I ever experienced. She spitefully made my daughter to repeat the second grade because I don't agree with her ethics. I am sorry but some of these teachers in this school need to check their humanity. I think some of their heads are to blown up. Where is their so called "hearts" at?

I know that the school PTA and the Principal are really trying. I just am not a big fan of the teachers. They have some really great teachers and some not so great teachers. I'm no teacher but i feel that the help i get form the pages on this website help my on more then his teachers do.I just wish they were more into reaching out to parents with the issues the children are having instead of waiting till either parent teachers conference or when Its to late for the kids.

Yvette. Z: This school would be up to par once they get rid of their Bed Bug problem. I don't understand how hygiene comes dead last when it comes to this school. Unbelieveable. It's no wonder no news stations has got this story yet. From September 2010 to now they been having this problem. Gross.
