Wendy: We moved to Edgemont high school district when my son was in 9th grade.  Based on our personal experience, it's a great school by every perspective.  The school's setting is like a "private school" in a small environment with a beautiful campus like a college. There are only an average of 150 kids per grade. In terms of academics, it's rated one of top schools in the nation. It offers many AP classes. The most important thing is that the students are competing to be successful and help each other. In term of sports, they offer many different sports programs and have a no-cut policy.  They also offer many musical programs, arts and clubs as well.  We're very happy with my son's development at Edgemont.  We used to live in a school district with about 700 students per grade.  He got lost in the crowd and wanted to be just an average student even though he has so much potential.  After we moved to Edgemont, he got to know every kid in the school and started to take many AP classes because here, all the kids look up to smart people. He joined the track team and eventually became the captain.  He also has joined many clubs and become involved with many community services.  He even became an Intel Science Talent Search Semi-Finalist!  Our pervious neighbors can't believe the change in  him.  We credit all his achievements to Edgemont!
