First Discovery Montessori School

My son started attending First Discovery a few months ago, and then he was shy and was very quiet. He was still getting used to the new environment. I started getting worried when he wouldnt adapt fast enough so i talked to his teacher who was more then happy to explain to me that he is little and it usually takes kids a couple of weeks to fully get comfortable in a new school expecially if its the first school they are attending. So i waited a little longer and sure enough my son was a new child. He screams his teachers name as we pull in the parkinglot he walks in with a huge smile, and his teacher was sure to tell me how he had improved greatly and is a new kid, he laughs and runs around with his classmates and talks up a storm now. I am so happy, and i appreciate everything these teachers do.

Why are children in this school so physically abusive? And why is it tolerated? I never would have put my child into this school had I known biting, scratching, hitting and screaming would be a daily routine there. Thank goodness my child can communicate with me because I wasn't informed by their staff either (I had to discover the blood marks, wounds and scratches at bath time and ask where they came from!). Save yourself - and most importantly, your child the grief! There is NO EXCUSE for such a toxic environment!
