Donna DeSiano: This is a fantasic school!!! The teachers, principal, and everyone else are extremely helpful. This is truly a school where the children come first! I am very happy that my child goes to PS 50!

Well, when I went there as a kid there was this teacher, Mr Romano
who liked to hit kids. He thought it made him look like a big man.
I literally watched him bounce my friend from across the street up and down like a rubber ball in the cafeteria. Then there was Mr Wegner who used to like to humiliate me at glee club practice where I wound up quitting. He also threatened to slap my my face just because I happned to be smiling. My 4th grade teacher, Mrs Cecileone who used to favor certain students and also humiliated in front of the class. Bottom line, PS 50 left a very bad taste in my mouth for the remainder of my school years. I had ADHD and at the time they didn't
have the clinical diagnosis so most of the faculty didn't understand me or chose not to understand me. Not all my teachers were bad.
And I know today things are alot different. But people should know the dark side as well about PS 50.

I Really like this school........This is my child's first year and there is a lot of parent involvement and that's great. There was a student-dad basketball game and a student-mom basketball game. There is much more. I really think this is a GREAT school. There is great teachers and the principal is really nice. If I had to rate it from 1 to 10 , i would give it a 10.

As a parent who has never dealt with the NYC school system before, I wish to convey my graditude for all the teachers and staff at P.S. 50. My child has learned to much in her first year. Not just ABC and 123 but also about citizenship, community organizations and just being a good person. I hope the rest of her years at P.S. 50 are just as wonderful!

I love P.S. 50 SO MUCH! this year my class has experienced Ballroom Dancing with Mrs.Attanasio and Mr. Riley class. it was so fun. All the teachers are so nice.

this school is great. lots of teachers still are here from 1980 to 2009.mrs. corbo the art teacher is working on a 5th grade sculpter called the "comprehanisoin tree.p.s50 does great stuff.this school is the best!
