Point of Clarification: The children do not go out in all weather.  Chaos is in the eye of the beholder. We're developing people not robots.

My son attended for a short period of time because I didnt feel comfortable with the facilty, so we decided on another preschool near my place of work in the city. The teachers were great, you can tell they really care about the children. The school is very chaotic, as it is set in the basement of an episcopalian church, and is three classes in one big space that have to push all their furniture to the side and lock toys and materials up in their "studio" during the evenings and weekends. The children go outside , in any weather from scorching to freezing and into a "garden" that in my opinion, does not look safe. Although the director is very friendly and can be very helpful at meetings with questions we have, she can be very irresponsible and difficult to reach at times. Sometimes the classes seem understaffed and the bathrooms have no changing table with only 1 child size toilet seat. From what I know, they serve organic and healthy lunches with vegan baking which was great because my son has a nut and dairy allergy. I do enjoy the idea of the school, I didnt enjoy the fact that there was no "vibrance and color" in the school. Although the teachers and director were very helpful and truly do care about the children, I felt that it wasnt a right fit for my child and I.

This is a great nursery school, focusing on ways to trigger interests in the world in relation to all levels of learning. There is solid guiding of this interest-driven learning.  Lots of art and play, which is perfect for little minds.  Also includes healthy meals and time out-of-doors.  The director is very experienced in early childhood development and spends lots of time working with parents to share lessons learned in school, so they can be reinforced at home.  A great asset to the neighborhood. We love Amazing Magic Beans

Teachers take true interest in children's social and emotional development and are very kind and caring. School serves breakfast, snack and lunch which is great for working parents. Facilities are nice and well equipped. Field trips for the older students. Only negatives are it is very noisy and chaotic. Although teachers do keep some order in the classroom, I think it could be better. Director is very disorganized, but a very nice person. Overall we are happy.
