Kids R Kids Day Care-Cary Park Reviews

Very Average

Keep changing teachers frequently. Learning activities are very limited. Instead of have kids watch TV/Samrt board and learn at school, they can do that at home without paying thousands. For general physical activity, inspite of paying so much, you need to join mini camp. Only greed and no quality.

This is an amazing school. Everyone is so nice when you enter the building!  The school is extremely clean and they have so many different activities for the children.  There are two coaches on staff and the teachers are always in a good mood.
There have been numerous changes made over the last few years and definitely for the better.
The management team is awesome and always willing to help and answer any questions I have.
The prior reviews do not give a accurate depiction of what this school really is. My children LOVE school and are very loved.

My son started Kids R Kids West Cary location when he was 6 month old. Teachers in infants suite are very good and they provide lot of attention, care and love to my son. He got adjusted in a week and is very excited to go to school daily. The school facility is safe, clean. I am highly impressed with quality of care, love provided by staff. Management is also good and they know each child and their name personally. I will highly recommend this school.

This email will never be sufficient enough of a testimony to explain why my little Williams family loves Kids R Kids of West Cary to infinity and beyond.  My daughter, Mia Williams, was a stay at home child until she was 17 months.   My husband and I relocated to Cary from Charlotte, NC  and as new parents we had absolutely no idea where to start when it came to researching schools for our little munchkin.  We started by asking our neighbors, later comparing prices and following up with several discovery days.  My husband and I ended up going with a bilingual school that many of our neighbors raved about and the tuition was right in line with our budget.  This school ended up being the worst decision that we could have made for our daughter and to this day I still feel terrible for taking her there and having that be her first experience of a school. Mia was enrolled in that particular daycare for about 2 months and she cried at the sight of the playground and the front of the facility.  That particular staff kept telling my husband and I that her crying was due to separation anxiety and she would eventually grow out of it. My mother’s intuition told me otherwise.  Mia was not being engaged with teachers or classmates and was not occupied with daily activities. She was allowed to sit in a chair at a table for several hours without any activities or interactions and that struck a nerve with my husband and I.  We felt that Mia was not getting the love, attention and learning stimulation that we were expecting from a daycare/school and I knew I had to make a change for our Princess because I hated seeing the sadness in her eyes at just the sight of the school.

I decided to take 3 days off from work and I began my thorough search for another school that would truly help develop and love Mia the way we do at home. After feeling like I had hit a wall, I came across Kids R Kids of West Cary.  I initially popped in for literature but Carey Winstead  greeted me with the biggest and warmest smile and had something else in store for Mia and I.  Carey was so extremely helpful and she immediately dropped the files she was working on and volunteered to take Mia and I on a tour of the academy.  Mia was walking around smiling and waving “Hi” to everyone that smiled and passed by her and at THAT moment I knew Kids R Kids of West Cary was Mia’s new home.

Since Mia’s enrollment date of September 30, 2013, her AMAZING teachers, Ms Megan and Ms Graciella, have tripled her vocabulary.  I cannot speak enough of about Megan and Graciella because these two young ladies truly love, adore and have a vested interest in teaching Mia and developing her.  In a span of 2 months Mia has been practicing sign language, engaging in all types of physical and artistic activities and she comes home talking up a storm about Ms “Ella” and Ms “Megan”.   Although Kids R Kids of West Cary is $300 more in tuition compared to the other school, my husband and I would probably pay even more because our daughter is truly happy from the time she enters the doors and her academic excellence is held at high regards there.

I’ve probably said too much when all I’ve could have said is that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the ENTIRE staff at Kids R Kids of West but when they are tasked with caring for and developing our most prized possession I can’t help but brag about everyone especial Ms Megan and Ms Graciella.

I have to post this for all parents in search of a great daycare for your child. I had not placed my child in a daycare before and was very skeptical with someone caring for her as I returned back to work. I had researched nannies, sitters, other daycares and was in the mind set that no one would give her the care that she needed being an infant. I walked into Kids R Kids and was greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. They allowed me to tour, do mini-visits to get me and my child prepared for her stay. The best part is the parent log in so I can see her happy and playing all day online. The care is great and the entire staff knows who you are not just the teachers in the class room. I would highly recommend this care facility to anyone who is in search for a daycare or after school program. Thanks, S.Short and P. Monroe

My daughter has been going here for a year now. She only goes three days a week but if she could she would go every day! From the start we were made to feel very welcome and you are always greeted with a smile by the front desk staff. She has an EXCELLENT pre K teacher who always keeps me informed and involves parents with "mystery reader" days. Any concerns that I have are addressed immediately whether it be her class involvement or something as arbitrary as dry lips that need chap stick! I am not sure if there has been an ownership change or a staff change but we have had nothing but good experiences since we started here, nothing like some other reviews claim. The owner is there almost every time I stop by and is always ready for a chat. The extra activities offered (soccer, basketball, gymnastics, etc) are very reasonably priced compared to other centers and my daughter loves her coach. I have recommended this school to neighbors.

Bad Staff/Management

By a Parent on

The management and staff are very rude and don't sincerely care about the kids or parents.  This was seen on several occasions.  Some teachers are exceptional but others are very questionable.  One teacher taunted my son right in front of me, which I couldn't believe.

For the money that Kids R Kids Day Care costs, you would think they would treat students and parents better!

By a Parent on

Horrible ownership combined with a rude new member of management  made for a very bad  experience for my family. We've changed schools and are much happier. For the amount of money they charge, you would think that management would get off her seat and greet instead of being on her personal phone. Staff are obviously unhappy. There are so many other better options so please avoid this school. Also, look on the DVD website for NC for any school you choose- this one has many major violations regarding the safety of children.

Management flat-out lies and is all about the money. Don't believe the smiling lies when they tell you your child is a certain number on the wait list- they just want your non-refundable payment. I should have realized the red flags when I witnessed a parent having conflict with management in the lobby during my visit. Other friends have also removed their children from here and changed to Primrose down the road or elsewhere. Some of the "teachers" are not educated and are from the Sec. 8 housing nearby. This place looks great, but for the high costs of attending, you will probably not get your money's worth.

We enjoy this school. Our child is treated well, safe, and learns a lot while there. The teachers are nice and friendly. The staff are always polite. I like that everything is provided and they even offer extra programs. It is a nice school.

We love kids r kids. My family has been at three different schools in over 6 years and this school is the best. The staff of teachers AND directors are wonderful, kind, and hard working. My kids trully love their teachers and I can tell at how eager they are to go to school. It is a fun school but also they learn alot. The school is clean and well stocked with toys. It has a very cool waterpark which the kids do all summer. They have internet viewing which I enjoy using to get a "peek" at what my kids do sometimes. I also love to see what projects come home at pick-up. They do fun activities with the kids like Author of the month and pajama day. The kids learn alot but are also allowed to be kids.
I would highly recommend this school and have to several friends who have joined and love it!!!
I would disregard the previous statement- seems someone did not get something they wanted from the office but that should not detour you from trying a great school with great teachers and the directors do care and are nice.

Wow! I am surprised by the previous comment. My family has been here for years and we love the management and staff. The directors are great but the owner can be fake and wishy washy at times, maybe that's what the previous comment meant, but that's not really important? Most importantly, I gave the school 5 stars because the teachers and management do great, my children are well loved, they are above other neighbors based on academic skills, and enjoy the time they spend there. I am blessed to have a school that I can comfortably leave my children at while I go to work. I enjoy watching them play sometimes using their online viewing program. I love the projects they bring home and hearing about their fun day!
They have an onsite waterpark which my kids love during the summer and they have well stocked classrooms, a clean facitlity, and provide all the food. I recommend them to my friends and several have also attended who are very happy there as well.
