This is an amazing school! We couldn't be more happy with it. My husband & I do not speak Chinese, so don't let that hold you back if you are considering it. The teachers and staff are very caring and kind. It is an amazing opportunity & we feel blessed that our kids have the chance to attend Waddell.

HOLLY: Waddell is a wonderful school that offers all children the opportunity to be bilingual - even when the parents are not! I am amazed every time I walk in the classroom and see children as young as 5 conversing in German, French, Japanese, and Chinese. Not only is the school academically successful, it is also racially, ethnically and socially diverse which provides my children with a much more honest view of the world around us - and has taught my children to respect and appreciate others in a way mere words could never achieve!

Phenomenal program! I have four children who have gone through or are currently enrolled in Waddell - two in German and two in French. The staff is dedicated and the experience of growing up bilingual is irreplaceable.
The school also has (by my estimation) the most diverse student population in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system. The multi-cultural influence on my children was an added bonus.

This is an amazing school! We are very fortunate to have this option in Charlotte. The teachers are wonderful & my children love it there! I am very impressed at how quickly they pick up the language. It is a wonderful environment & gives students the opportunity to be exposed to so many different cultures, while still setting high academic standards. LOVE it!

Our daughter has just started in the French immersion program at E E Waddell academy and we could not be more pleased with the school, staff and facilities. We are so pleased that we chose Waddell.

E. E. Waddell Language Academy
The school's name was changed to E.E. Waddell Language Academy when the language immersion program was moved from one campus to another. The languages your child can be immersed in are Chinese, Japanese, German, and French. I am just beginning my K - 8 journey in the Chinese program with my kindergartener, and have been amazed with the process the move was handled by staff, teachers, and parents. Everyone has been very supportive and inclusive of welcoming the new families to the Waddell family. Our child comes home every day to tell us the new words or phrases that they have learned. We are very happy we selected Waddell Language Academy.
