Steele Creek Elementary School

margaret.sherman: Steele Creek Elementary is a wonderful school.  There is a very diverse population of students and staff.  The staff is caring and freely give of their time to provide a positive day of learning for each child.  The school is transitioning to the use of the new Common Core State Standards.  Special emphasis is placed on helping each student access print at his or her instructional level during small group instruction time.  Students write in response to what they read, view, and hear.  Math instruction includes the use of the Investigations program which is very hands-on.  I am proud to be part of the Steele Creek Elementary family.
