The Montessori School of Winston-Salem Reviews

Awesome!

By a Parent on

I agree with the other parent's assessment of The Montessori School of Winston-Salem. It is an amazing place. There is an atmosphere of respect for each child's learning style. Each child can progress at his own pace, following his own interests. This seems to have an energizing effect, and the children get so excited about learning! My child is so excited to go to school every day!

When I visit the classroom I am always amazed at how quiet it is and how diligently the children work without constant prompting from the teacher.  The first thing my child tells anyone when they ask how he likes his school is, "There are no bullies at my school," and there really aren't.  It's a peaceful educational environment.  The children learn to do for themselves rather than asking for an adult to do everything for them.  They solve their problems amongst themselves, without arguing or tattling.  Academically they are far advanced beyond public schools without high pressure to achieve this; it's just that the children are allowed to go at their own pace, not having to wait for everyone else to catch up, when they get a concept they move on.
