Mom of 2: The school is 5 star rated and elementary currently goes through 3rd grade. The staff appears nothing but happy to be there! I believe the administration is fairly new, but terrific.

We have a child in elementary and a child in pre-K. We love the school. The education and attention given to each child is top-notch. My children no longer complain about going to school.

My two boys attend this school and I am very satisfied with their progress. After being in the CMS system for three years and realizing that my then second grader was not getting the quality education that I expected, I moved him to Chesterbrook at Birkdale for third grade. When he started in August 2010, he was a full year behind in reading. Since then he has improved so much, he is reading and writing fluently and his confidence level has increased.
My second child who is in the Pre-K class will be moving up to Kindergarten in August. This is a very caring and nurturing environment; each child gets the individualized attention he/she needs. The administrative staffing has improved and there is a short turn-around time for concerns and queries.
My boys are flourishing at this school.

There has been a lot of turnover from the instructional staff. The teachers are great, but the admininstration leaves a lot to be desired. Basic things like billing & responding to parent concerns seem to consistently provide a challenge that should be simple to address. There seems to be no accountability and follow up corrective actions for parent concerns.
Safety leaves a lot to be desired. At one parent-child event they had repaired the legs of a folding bench with duct tape. The bench collapsed during the event. Thankfully only parents were sitting on the bench and no one was hurt but what if my child had been on that bench and what does that say about their commitment to child safety.
I would not recommend Chesterbrook-Birkdale to any other parents. They have gone from a 4-Star rating to a 3-Star rating over the past year and I can understand why.
