Sterling is an excellent school.   My son has a great deal of exceptional needs and the individual attention for him has been excellent.  I understand if we are expected to be more visible due to our son's challenge, but the community feel and the open door policy make us feel more than welcomed.  And we miss the young lady who was accused of the terroristic acts.  It was unfortunate what she got caught up in.

Sterling is a wonderful school with excellent teachers and a terrific parent community.  We absolutely love it!  Our children are blossoming and have found a love of learning we so wanted for them.  LOVE OUR SCHOOL!

Wrong school to go if your child has issues above the norm, the website does not portray this but we are living it first hand. Individualized attention was outstanding if the child is issueless. Also now they just got in the news for having terriorist affiliates on staff.

We couldn't love this school more. I have two children there, and feel that their teachers really know them as individuals and care about their learning. It's a smaller school, so all of the staff knows us by sight if not by name, and I'm often stopped in the hall so a teacher can share something one of my children said or did that they enjoyed.
I feel really good about having my kids here, and the fact that they do well on standardized tests even without all that test prep speaks volumes to me. If you teach the children, they will learn plenty and be able to show it on those tests.
I love that their learning isn't limited to the curriculum or even to the classroom. My children are experiencing the world through Montessori education, and I couldn't be happier about it.

My daughter has been able to grow and learn at her own pace at Sterling.  The Montessori approach to teaching has created an environment that does not hold the children back based on their age or grade.  Instead it helps them excel and go beyond their normal learning limits.   The mixed age classes challenges her to learn as much as possible to be at the top of the class, not just top of her grade.   It also provides an environment where the children can learn from each other, not just the teachers.   This helps in their learning techniques as some children just learn differently.

It is an adjustment for me as a parent as the style of teaching is different from the way I grew up learning.   So they way I approach this issue to have my daughter work on the subjects at home that I can help with or that she is able to work with on her own.   For the other subjects or work activities I have her explain to me what she has learned so we can try to work through it together.   If that doesn't work she has cleared up some her class work time by working on it at home, which gives her more time to sit with the teachers to ask questions.

I am very proud of all that my daughter has accomplished and is still doing.  And I am very grateful to her teachers who take the time to review again the topics she has further questions on.

Our daughter is a 1st grader at this school. She loves it and we love it.  For kindergarten she was at our neighborhood school, which is a fine school, but she was not being sufficiently challenged and the curriculum was not sufficiently individualized. We were fortunate enough to be offered a spot and we could not be happier.

We love Sterling Montessori Charter School in Morrisville, NC.  The children are very nice and respectful and well behaved, and our child is receiving an amazing education.  The children become more and more independent as they get older, expected to do more and be more organized.  Seems to me it would be an ideal school for a child who is a strong indendent learner who listens well and can work on their own or well with small groups.
