Calvary Baptist Church School Reviews
I am a parent at Calvary and have been for many years. I know that there may be times where a parent and/or children do not like the way the teacher speaks with the child, but I have seen where the teacher speaks and the children ignore her, and in order to get their attention she has to raise her voice to speak above them, but above all, I see much love and dedication shown to each child, including my own every day. Yes, Calvary has grown, and the and the classroom size has grown also, but if you check the classroom sizes at public schools, it is not much different per student/teacher ratio, even with that, the teacher always takes the time to make sure that each child gets one on one help time with her. Another private Christian school in the area closed its doors, and Calvary did their very best to open their doors and expand their classrooms in order to allow all students the opportunity to stay in a Christian school. For that, I am proud to be a parent of a Calvary Baptist Church School student!!
Calvary Baptist Church School has changed a lot since 2008. The school has grown to almost 200 children. My son was in the kindergarten class in 2011-2012 and there were 24 kids in his class and only one teacher. The teacher was very rude and raised her voice at the students to maintain control. My son did learn in the classroom BUT the school definitely needs to do something different on classroom size and teacher control!!
