My grandchildren thinks JLS is the "best school ever." James Love Elementary School, works hard to teach the whole child.  The school has great parent support.  I served as their PTO president last year, and I was so surprised to see so many parents at the PTO meetings.  Several of the meetings, we had to bring in extra chairs, now that is parent/family involvement. Their is an open door policy for student's parents and families.  The Arts and Music teachers are an example of  working together, with the lead teachers and teacher assistants to integrate classroom curriculum in their lesson plans. The teachers and teacher assistants are highly qualified according to the state, Cleveland County Schools System and federal government guidelines for the "No Child Left Behind" requirements. Note: (teacher assistants must have an associates degree, or 48 credit hours or more-not just a high school diploma anymore.  There are a variety of special area curriculum, that aid every child in reaching their academic and sometimes personal goals.  Such as art, music, AIG, Boss Lab (reading tutor), Accelerated Reading and Math, computer lab, reading lab, exceptional class, p.e. (everyday), technology (everyday), and so much more...James Love's principle believe in positive praise and building high self-esteem for all the children.  She, will not tolerate anything negative in the environment of her school. Yes, maybe I sound like this a utopia school, no just one of the best.. For 2008-2009 James Love School is the "School of Distinction-High Growth."  Please take time out to print the update information about James Love Elementary School...Thank You.

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
