Hanes Middle School

My son is academically gifted and has a reading disability.  He has many of the characteristics of kids with academic gifts, including not fitting in that well with his peers (being a bit nerdy, talking about things they may not care much about, being a bit of a "smarty pants."  He also has the disorganization of a student with a learning disability.  His grades aren't that great, but the staff understand the reasons without letting him off the hook. This school seems to have been created especially to meet my son's needs!  The staff is amazing, the STEM opportunities are unparallelled.  It's truly a unique school.  My husband has recieved a job offer that would require us to relocate, and we're seriously concerned about whether the school system in that area could meet his needs as  well.
