JoanneBurch: My family and I have just returned to the U.S. after living overseas for the past 14 years. Our two children are 16 and 13 years old and have only attended Dodea Schools as my husband was in the U.S. Navy (just retired 4/2011) When moving to ND our biggest concern was finding the perfect school for our children and a home closest to that school. So far so good with Thompson. When enrolling our children we were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the tour of the school. We were excited to learn they have a golf program for our son as well as a surround sound system in place. The classes have very low numbers which told me the children of Thompson have a one on one relationship with the teachers. With the "No Child Left Behind Act of 2001" for all public schools and low numbers of children per class this was wonderful news coming from a base which had up to 28 children per class. Even with the Act of 2001 set in place, children were getting left behind all the time. We look forward to the new school year and all the opportunities Thompson has to offer our children.
