Sharonville Elementary School Reviews

This school has become very confusing to me and my child.  My daughter was recently attacked at the school, for the third time, by the same student.  This student was suspended for 1 day.  I went in and spoke with the administration today and asked them if this student could be removed from the class for my daughters safety.  She is an exemplary student with great grades and perfect attendance.  I was informed that my only option was to move her.  Basically punish her for doing a good job, and send her the message that is ok to be hit and bullied because nothing will be done to protect her.  And  that everything that I have raised her to be is wrong.  I want her to be a great student and perform her responsibilities with her head held high, and to be a leader and think for herself.  But this schools apparent message is that their focus is to maintain problem and disruptive students, and that good students are secondary and their need to learn and be safe while doing it is not as important as stroking the ego of the so called behavioral needs kids.  Is this the message that we are now sending children.  That striving for excellence will cause you to be forgotten and left to fend for yourself.  If so, we are headed for a world of chaos in the future.  And excellence will not exist.  Therefore, I am looking for schools with a culture that learning and striving to be your best is at the forefront.  Anyone with information on schools that hold these values please contact me at eglykes@yahoo.com.  In closing I would just like to re-iterate my disapointment in Sharonville Elementary and the entire Princeton School system for the direction that they have chosen to take this formally fine institute of learning.

"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
