What is it?
The Ohio Achievement Test is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 8 are assessed in reading and math, students in grades 4 and 7 are assessed in writing, and students in grades 5 and 8 are assessed in science and social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of five levels: advanced, accelerated, proficient, basic or limited. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

Test scores are down compared to the state average, but my son is doing very well there. His teachers are great, but the parents need to take time to work with their kids!!

Ashley: My children have been going to CPA for 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier. My 2nd grader is blowing her cousin out of the water in reading, and math (same grade different school). She also tested in the 90% in science in the Iowa Basic Skills test. CPA Rocks and has saved us from a sunstandard CPS education! Thanks Mr. Carr!!
