Sherwood Middle School Reviews
This school is severely lacking in administration. Small issues such as minor harassment are quickly addressed while huge problematic issues such as racism are completely ignored. Violence and assaults based on ethnicity and cultural background happen too often in this building. Utilize the lottery if Sherwood is your neighborhood school.
My child is a very respectful and polite young man. Everytime I ask him how his day went, he stresses how his math teacher gets an attitude with him whenever he asks for help. My impression about ANY teacher is to take the time and make sure students understand classroom work. I work with him in the evenings for 3 hours. Everytime I ask him whether he has any referrence materials, he tells me the teacher won't allow him to take any home so I can help him on my end. It's one thing if the students are getting the support from their parents, but the teachers need to help us out as well..
I believe that Sherwood has grown very well in the past few years. With new staff, Sherwood is really doing well.
I think Sherwoood Midle School is one of the most high quality school. Sherwood can achieve in many things. They work as a team to solve problems. There are great teachers and staff. Even though they havent scored high on test, this school push push and push. They will never stop soring and succeeding. I reconmend this school to any milldle school student in seach of a wonderful middle school life. I would send my child to this school, with out a second thought.
I think this school is on the rebound and improving.
This is due mainly to the dedicated teaching staff and new administration there .
I am glad to see they include students from Otterbein College to assist and learn form the staff at Sherwood.
Let's hope things continue to get better .
