About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See Richard Allen Academy's test results to learn more about school performance.

Richard Allen Academy Reviews
THIS IS A VERY GOOD SCHOOL WITH TEACHERS AND STAFF THAT CARE. I HAVE 2 CHILDREN THAT ATTENDED THE SCHOOL UNTIL WE MOVED OUT WEST; 1 OF WHICH ATTENDED THE SCHOOL FROM PRE-K TO 8 GRADE; SHE HAS DONE WELL IN HIGH SCHOOL DUE TO THE STRONG BEGINNINGS SHE WAS TAUGHT AT RICHARD ALLEN. I OFTEN OVER HEAR HER TALKING WITH HER FRIENDS ABOUT HOW LOVED THEY FELT AT THEIR SCHOOL AND HOW MUCH THEY LEAND. OFTEN TIMES THEY RETURN TO THE SCHOOL DURING THEIR BREAKS JUST SAY HI TO OLD STAFF AND TEACHERS. CONTINUE TO DO EXCELLENT WORK YOU ALL ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. RICHARD ALLEN ACADEMY COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO SAY THE LEAST.
