About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Summit Academy Dayton Reviews
Summit is a school for change. Our children are individuals and should be educated as such. It not about test scores but allowing a child to grow on their time. TIME is the key! This school gives the gift of time, that each child needs no matter how below or ahead they are. Children at this school are no just a number they are the spirit, curiosity, an the adventure of learning. With every curious and driven mind, their is bright future. My son has been with summit for nine years and had progress amazingly. He is a driven young man with dreams and ambitions, without summit this would not be possible.
This is my son David's 7th year at Summit Academy Dayton. We have been there from the very beginning since my son was in 2nd grade year. It has been a miracle for us to have found such an educational find. They accept my son for the individual he is and for all the issues he has and continue to work with David everyday to make David a better student, individual, and a better young man. A educational program who can dare to care enough to put such love and devotion in they students and their future's should be the place for all children that are behaviorally challenged. These very students that have these issues are the future inventors ,actors, lawyers , nurses , doctors, educators, and so on of this great country and possible other countries that would of never other wise gotten a chance if not we didn't given them our faith and devotion to succeed.
Sincerely, Katherine Smith - David Smith
